5.2 Ph Stabilizer

Supercharge your mash. A proprietary blend of food-grade phosphate buffers (similar to brewer's salts) that will lock in your mash at a pH of 5.2 regardless of the pH of your water. Five Star pH Stabilizer will optimize enzymatic activity, helps clarify your wort and often increases your starting gravity. It is safe for your mash and will not add any flavors to your product.

Add 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of mash. One jar will treat over 48 five-gallon batches.

SuperStart Distiller's Yeast

 

For Fuel Ethanol and Beverage Alcohol fermentations. 14.1-ounce (400g) pkg. Ferments to about 18-21% before "giving up". Use nutrients to obtain the highest alcohol level prior to distillation which of course is NOT legal as a beverage in some countries! Usually not used for wines or beers. This will make up to 800 gallons of 20%. 400g (14.1oz) package.

Yeast Energizer - 1 pound

Provides essential minerals, trace nutrients and vitamins for yeast growth and metabolism during fermentation. Used to help start slow fermentation and to restart stuck ones. Use 1/2 teaspoon per gallon and stir gently. May cause foaming if added to an ongoing fermentation. 1 teaspoon = 3.7 g. Better choice than yeast nutrient which lacks some of the essential compounds needed to get sluggish yeast going. Using more than the recommended amount gives unpleasant salty flavor.

Sparkolloid - Hot Mix Clearing Agent - 8oz

A proprietary alginate-based fining agent which covers a broad spectrum of hazes. It reuires a little more care in preparation than bentonite, but generally gives excellent clarity, requires no tannin addition and is quite neutral in respect to flavor changes. Normal usage is 1/2 to 1-1/2 grams per gallon.

BA-100 is a bacterial alpha-amylse enzyme. It is a food-grade enzyme product produced by fermentation of a non-GMO strain of Bacillus. This enzyme is Kosher-certified, not-synthetic and can be used in the production of certified-organic foods. BA-100, endo-amylase, randomly hydrolyzes 1.4-alpha-glucosidic bonds in starch. The prolonged action of BA-100 reduces the viscosity of gelatinized starch and produces large amounts of low molecular weight oligosaccharides. This process will turn the starch into long chain sugars but unfortunately yeast cannot utilize this sugar yet.
